Lesson 1: Introduces communication, communicating without speech, and augmentative communication.
Lessons 2 -5: Covers a method of conveying inforamtion without speech ranging from the most natural and "aid-free" (body language and sign language) to representing information with objects and pictures.
Lessons 6-8: Introduces three ways to access pictures as alternatives to pointing with a finger.
Lesson 9: Introduces picture communication boards with more complex vocabulary, which can produce sentences and complete thoughts.
Lesson 10: Introduces electronic devices and computers, and explores their role in augmentative communication.
Each lesson includes background information, suggested activities, and a dialogue which can be read right from the book. Most materials included.
