This Month's Mother of Invention
Happy Mother's Day! This month, Giving Greetings recognizes the efforts of Mary Johnson, a parent author/producer and motivational speaker based in Knoxville.
To support her son with autism and address his communication difficulties, Mary developed and co-wrote 123 Get Ready!, a comprehensive summer activity program designed to help her son prepare for entering an inclusion kindergarten classroom.She is also the author of Beyond Words, a practical guide to inclusion for children with communication challenges. Mary uses her creativity and experience to develop innovative ways to increase her son's skills while attempting to keep family balance. Kudos Mary!
